Job Description
Job Description
Egis is seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient Geometry Engineer to join the team for the landmark aviation program in Toronto. This role is fundamental to the successful design and delivery of the project’s extensive airside and landside infrastructure.
The Geometry Engineer will be responsible for developing, managing, and validating the detailed 3D geometric designs for all civil works, including taxiways, aprons, and service roads. The position ensures all geometric elements are precisely designed in compliance with rigorous Canadian and international aviation standards and are fully integrated within the project's digital models.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed 3D geometric models for all civil infrastructure elements using advanced design software such as Bentley InRoads/OpenRoads Designer or AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Ensure all geometric designs, including horizontal and vertical alignments, grading, and cross-sections, strictly comply with technical requirements and Canadian aerodrome standards (TP312 4th and 5th editions).
- Perform aircraft and vehicle swept path analysis using simulation packages like AviPLAN and AutoTURN to ensure operational safety and compliance with clearance standards.
- Coordinate the geometric design with other engineering disciplines (e.g., drainage, structural, electrical) to ensure a fully integrated and clash-free design.
- Prepare and review detailed design drawings, reports, and technical specifications for construction.
- Collaborate with survey teams and construction staff to provide clear design data and resolve any on-site geometric challenges.
- Participate in design review meetings, providing expert input on all geometric matters.
